Six months ago, when I passed a blood donation, I had discovered hepatitis C. Immediately thereafter, I made the analysis of ELISA in "INVITRO": the result was negative. A month later when re-analysis of antibodies again revealed. Then I did PCR: antigens were detected. Please tell me how in the blood may be an antibody in the absence of antigen, because antibodies are produced just for the meeting of the organism to an antigen?
